Gatekeeper: payment-gated APIs for autonomous agent commerce.

The product problem

A service owner that exposes an API to agents needs to price access, verify transactions, and issue grants. Gatekeeper is the repository's implementation of those steps.

What the repository contains

The repository is a pnpm TypeScript workspace. It includes runnable gateway, control-plane, dashboard, and test-api applications, with shared contracts, config, and database packages. It also has Dockerfiles for the gateway, control plane, and dashboard, and a Cloud Run deploy workflow.

How the gateway works

Without a valid grant, a protected route returns HTTP 402 payment_required.

Payment verification checks a Base USDC transfer log, a one-time nonce challenge, and a wallet signature. It then issues a short-lived bearer grant cached in Redis.

Status

MVP in the repository. The roadmap lists the hosted load balancer, Cloudflare DNS sync, and a funded end-to-end Base USDC run as open.
